The qualification

Cambridge IGCSE Geography is syllabus 0460. The 2027-2029 syllabus covers the 2027, 2028 and 2029 exams. It removed the old Geographical Skills paper (skills are assessed across all the papers) and renamed Paper 4 Geographical Investigations. There are no Core and Extended tiers, so every candidate is entered for grades A* to G. Exams are in the June and November series, and in March for centres in India.

IGCSE Geography · Changing populations · Population density

A country has 60 million people and an area of 300,000 km2. Calculate its population density.

You wrote 300,000 ÷ 60,000,000 = 0.005 1 of 2

Density is people per unit of area. Which number should be on top, and what unit goes with the answer?

Your rewrite 60,000,000 ÷ 300,000 = 200 people per km2 2 of 2

A sample written to show how a class sounds. The scores show how the exam would credit each answer. Not a real learner.
