# Subjects: taught live by an AI tutor

**The short answer.** Tutix tutors mathematics, calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry and biology live: the tutor talks, writes and draws on a shared whiteboard, reads your answers and remembers what was covered. Each subject links to the ready-made programs that teach it.

## All subjects

Choose a subject to see how a class in it works and which programs cover it.

- [Mathematics](/subjects/mathematics): Live mathematics classes and the programs that teach it
- [Calculus](/subjects/calculus): Live calculus classes and the programs that teach it
- [Statistics](/subjects/statistics): Live statistics classes and the programs that teach it
- [Physics](/subjects/physics): Live physics classes and the programs that teach it
- [Chemistry](/subjects/chemistry): Live chemistry classes and the programs that teach it
- [Biology](/subjects/biology): Live biology classes and the programs that teach it

## How a class in any subject works

The classes follow the same loop whatever the subject: the tutor explains an idea aloud, you answer by voice or on the shared whiteboard, it reads what you wrote and tells you what is missing, and the next class starts from what you covered. What changes is the work on the board: a derivation in physics, a balanced equation in chemistry, a labeled diagram in biology, a sentence about the data in statistics.

Each subject page lists the ready-made programs that teach it, the mistakes the tutor watches for, and a sample of a class. A subject that is not listed can still be taught: start a class, name the course and attach your notes or syllabus.

## Questions

**Which subjects can the tutor teach?**

Any subject you can describe. Ready-made programs cover mathematics, calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry and biology through their AP and IGCSE courses, and any other subject can be taught from your notes or syllabus.

**Can it teach a subject that is not listed here?**

Yes. Start a class, name the subject and attach your notes; the tutor builds the lessons around what you give it.

**Can the tutor do hands-on work, such as a lab?**

No. It works by voice, a whiteboard and documents, so practical skills need a teacher or a lab; it can help you plan, write up and understand an experiment.
